Now Open: High School Selection and In-District Transfers for 2025-26

The STISD High School Selection process for current STISD 8th-graders and In-District Transfer process for current STISD 6th-,7th- and 9th-graders wanting to transfer to another campus within STISD for the 2025-2026 school year are now open via Skyward. The deadline to complete these processes is 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22.

Parent Invitation: Session 1 of Emergent Bilingual Parent Institute Series is on Thursday, Oct. 31

STISD will host the first session of its Emergent Bilingual Parent Institute Series on Thursday, Oct. 31, at 9 am at STISD Preparatory Academy in Edinburg.

This is a great opportunity for parents of language learners to come learn how to support their children's linguistic, cognitive and social emotional development at home.

You’re invited: “South Texas ISD Parent Connection: Supporting Your Child’s Emotional Health” parent sessions kick off Oct. 28

STISD Special Programs will host “South Texas ISD Parent Connection: Supporting Your Child’s Emotional Health” Parent Sessions in October and November.

Both sessions will be held in person at the STISD Teaching and Learning Center, located at 7001 E. Expressway 83, Mercedes, TX 78570.

This week, STISD will hold the first of two South Texas Tri-County Special Education Cooperative “Understanding Dyslexia” Parent Sessions.  Session one will be virtual and will focus on "Understanding Dyslexia: A Parent’s Guide to the Basics and How to Support Your Child."
