STISD will serve free breakfast and lunch meals to children 18 years old and younger from our local communities and enrolled students up to 21 years old with disabilities this summer from June 1 to June 30.
The meals will be served via dine-in only at the cafeterias of four different STISD campuses.
These meals will be provided at no cost to the family, and children do not have to be enrolled within STISD to receive meals.
This past February, Camila Vazquez, freshman from South Texas ISD Health Professions in Mercedes competed at the regional Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) where both of her stunning art pieces scored the highest marks, earning her a spot at State out of 32,000+ entries from across Texas.

Join us on Wednesday, April 16, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. for a South Texas ISD Parent Connection presentation - "Come Learn About Supports Available in our Communities for Individuals with Autism" by Maria Cordero, Regional Coordinator-Region 1 Partners Resource Network.
The presentation will be held in person at the South Texas ISD Learning Center (7001 E. Expressway 83, Mercedes, TX), as well as virtually via Zoom.
