Apple Distinguished Schools Program - 2026-2029
We’re pleased to be recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for 2026-2029 for inspiring, imagining, and impacting teaching and learning schoolwide through continuous innovation.
Schools apply and are selected for this distinction based on their commitment to continuous innovation in education and using Apple products to inspire, imagine, and impact teaching and learning.
Apple Distinguished Schools are centers of leadership and educational excellence, with a clear vision for how technology-rich environments support learning goals. In Apple Distinguished Schools, forward-thinking leaders and their communities work to inspire, imagine, and impact teaching and learning, and they have documented results of academic accomplishments.
Schools all over the world are using iPad and Mac to transform learning. As teachers incorporate technology into their lessons, they empower students to lead, learn, and thrive, to discover new opportunities, and to make their world a better place.

Our Story
"We truly believe that the use of Apple technology will assist our students in becoming members and leaders of our community."
-Dr. Guajardo, Principal at Health Professions
Inspire
Aligned to our district’s vision and mission, Health Professions empowers students to lead, learn, and thrive through authentic, real-world learning. Through project-based experiences, students create meaningful work that builds voice, agency, and a global-citizen mindset. In our simulation lab, students apply classroom learning through on-the-job training experiences that strengthen collaboration, professionalism, and decision-making. Before practicum placements, they practice essential skills in realistic settings, building confidence and competence. Ultimately, students transfer what they learn in class to the workplace and community—ready to contribute, adapt, and excel in a dynamic world.

Imagine
Our school empowers students and staff to imagine new possibilities through a culture of agency, collaboration, and creativity. We provide targeted support so students complete tasks with confidence—and then go above and beyond. Staff have the technology and resources to design innovative, varied lessons that model creativity and problem-solving daily. Students apply those same tools to develop case studies, scenarios, and solutions, building skills over time. By senior year, students are fluent with these platforms and processes, ready to collaborate, create, and lead.
Impact
Our school impacts our campus, community, and beyond by using research-driven practices to expand success, accessibility, and equity. We support diverse subpopulations—including self-contained learners—through adaptive software that personalizes instruction and drives growth. Content-specific apps connect standards-based content with essential skills, ensuring access to rigorous learning for all. Students analyze biomedical case studies grounded in current research, including ethical decision-making and malpractice discussions. In grades 9–11, students engage with real-world healthcare scenarios and external resources in a digital setting, building readiness for senior-year practicums. AI helps staff tailor lessons to student interests, generating themed case studies that increase engagement and inclusion.
