Please note: The courses listed within this webpage are the courses offered overall on a yearly basis, and they may not all be included in the master schedule for the current school year.

At South Texas ISD Health Professions, students develop medical and clinical skills in area hospitals, nursing homes and pharmacies, as well as doctor, dentist and veterinary offices.

The following certifications are available to Health Professions students: Certified Personal Trainer, EKG/ECG Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Registered Dental Assistant X-Ray Certification, Nitrous Oxide Sedation Monitoring Certification, Certified Pharmacy Technician, Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Certified Veterinary Assistant Level I, Medical Laboratory Assistant

 

Available Endorsements: Arts & Humanities, Multidisciplinary Studies, Public Services and STEM

Concentrator: A student served by an LEA who has completed two or more courses for at least 2 credits in a single program of study

Completer: A student served by an LEA who has completed 3 or more courses for 4 or more credits including an advanced course (level 3 or 4) within an approved program of study.
